Homework:
Sections 6 and 7 should hand in their final drafts of the sci-fi stories.
I also handed back the papers of the 27 finalists.  Their papers are due Thursday.

Today:
We did some vocab just to keep it fresh.  We are doing the review unit work between units 9 and 10.

Then we started our text-based writing prompt practice.  I should make a quick web page with the information on it.  I can't do that right now, though, but here is the article and the prompt:

The scientists at the Center for Disease Control have compiled a lot of information in their study on teen sleeplessness. They have numbers and statistics. But at the end, they still don’t know exactly why teens do not get enough sleep and what should be done about it.

Write a letter to Danice Eaton. After proving to her that you understand her research, give her some information she could use. Explain to her what you think is the reason why teens don’t get enough sleep and what can be done to help them. Her study is about you and your older siblings. Tell her what you think about her findings?
